St Tropez Tanning
What to expect
For all tanning treatments please allow enough space for a beauty couch to be set up then you can lay down and enjoy being bronzed from head to toe! The St Tropez original tan treatment is a luxurious lotion tan applied and tailored by an expert. The treatment is a relaxing and pampering hand on treatment that will take around 1 hour. St tropez now uses "aromaguard" fragrence technology which eliminates the tell-tale self tan aroma.
When a full body treatment is booked, a full body exfoliation is included making sure the skin is ready for the tan application. Specific areas will be moisturised proir to tan application and then a professional application of tan is applied to the whole body. St tropez works with the melanin in your skin so this will determine the colour of your tan but always leaving you with a lovely natural looking tan. The same applies for a half body tan but for the area chosen.
Please take note of the following tan advice:
Before the treatment:
* Your skin must be free of any previous self tan application prior to your treatment.
* It is preferable not to apply any type of perfume, deodrant or aromatherapy oils on the day of your treatment as those reduce the results.
* Waxing or shaving should be completed atleast 24 hours proir to the treatment to reduce sensitivity.
* Wear dark, loose fitting clothing with a dark coloured bra or preferably no bra at all. Please be aware the guide colour can stain light hair, man-made fibres and wool.
* It is recommended to have a patch test proir to a St Tropez treatment.
After the treatment:
Your tan will begin to develop immediately after your treatment.
* Do not shower or bathe for a minimum of 4 hours after your treatment. For best results wash off in the morning. Some guide colour may transfer onto bed linen, so cover bed in an old towel. This will wash out of cotton. It is important to not get skin wet at all when tan is developing.
* Do not participate in any activity which may cause perspiration for at least 12 hours after treatment.
